BR 363, DB BR 403 and BR Class 375 Contract [Dovetail Games]

My first contract with Dovetail Games was to deliver three vehicles in a one two split milestone.

The first milestone was to get an initial grey-box phase complete for the BR 363 which had art and audio in active development. The role began familiarly with a research and document phase where I collected as much information as possible about the shunter. This was followed on by boilerplate setup where I created Rail Vehicle Model/View actors, populated them with all the necessary components and created the blueprint logic to get those components working together. By the end there can be 100s of components controlling a variety of features, from simple things like doors and light controllers to systems that are responsible for traction, braking and safety systems. I created a basic Simugraph asset which was to be replaced out later internally at dovetail.

The second milestone was focussed on getting a DB BR 403 ICE and its coaches setup as well as a BR Class 375 which used the BR Class 377-4 as reference point.
